Stereotype By Claire Hennessey
This book is about a sixteen year old girls called Abi (Abigail). She lives in Dublin and is in Transition Year in an all girls school. She writes aboout how much she hates her life and how depressing it is. She does not want to be like any ordinary teenager. She does not want to be a stereotype. She cuts her arm with a blade hoping it will get rid of the pain of seeing everyone else happy. She feels all her friends and everyone else in her school has a perfect life with no proplems. She then starts to fall for her best friend, sarah's, boyfriend. She is really jelouse of sarah and keeps cutting her arm to try and forget out it. In the end she realises that she is just being stupid and immature. She makes a start of getting her life back on track and decides to stop cutting herself and be a normal teenager. Finally she seems to be happy.
I really enjoyed this book and felt it was very true to life. I feel any teenager living in Ireland can relate to parts of it. Altough I enjoyed this book I felt it was extremely depressing. Overall, a good read.

A Streetcar Named Desire
I really enjoyed watching this play in the theatre. it was much different seeing it in front of you from reading it. The stage and props were really good and everything suited the time frame that the play was set in. The actors where also really good and I felt they fulfiled their role to their full potential. They really gave you a fee; of what their characther was like. In my opinian the music was a bit annoying and they should have left it out. Overall I thought the paly was really enjoyable but was a bit long.
